Convalescing with Project Gutenburg

Apparently, it take two full weeks for the flu shot to start working. I know this because six short days after I received said shot, I had the flu.

We - the corgi and I - are entering day three of flu-dom, and are starting to need activities. So, yesterday, we read. (Or I read, the corgi likes this sleeping thing...) The goal was fluff yesterday (in the form of the latest Percy Jackson novel) and upon successful completion of yesterday's fluff, something a bit of the classic side today. But, as the fates would have it, I have my heart set on this Louisa May Alcott gem, that I do not own and is rarely available in the local library.

Enter Project Gutenburg , a free on-line library full of rare and or out-of print classics. My father, the original family bibliophile, discovered this site years ago. The books might read a little easier on an iPad, but the corgi and I aren't that particular.

I hate to say it, but it sounds like the flu shot gave you the flu...it's known to do that...
